WorkSource Macon-Bibb offers youth (16-24 years of age) the opportunity to gain the skills and knowledge they need to find meaningful employment. We offer academic support, career exploration, and work experience training through our Career Pathways Program to help build workplace skills and to develop a plan to attain a college degree, a certification or a trade certificate. CAREER PATHWAYS
The Career Pathways Program for young adults is designed to provide out-of-school and out-of-work Macon-Bibb youth with opportunities to gain valuable work experience, training opportunities, and mentorship. The program will keep young people gainfully employed and engaged while elevating them to greater potential for professional growth and personal achievement.
WorkSource Macon-Bibb administers a contract with Paxen Learning Corporation for the delivery of the Career Pathways Program. The services they provide are:
• Part-time employment
• Job skills training
• Financial guidance
• College and career tours
• College application and financial aid help
• One-on-one mentorship
• Support through education and training
WorkSource Macon-Bibb designates a Youth provider to provide vision and oversight for programs and services, according to the guidelines established by the Middle Georgia Regional Commission. The Youth provider is competitively chosen and is currently contracted to Paxen Learning Corporation.
