The federal Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) guides workforce development agencies in achieving and maintaining an integrated, outcome-oriented public workforce system that links diverse talents to business by ensuring:

  • The needs of business and workers drive workforce solutions;
  • Career centers provide excellent and meaningful customer service to job seekers.

The Macon-Bibb Workforce Development Board oversees the administrative and programmatic policies and guidance affecting Macon-Bibb workforce system. These policies are directional statements that inform or clarify federal and state procedures regarding workforce systems strategies.

The Workforce Board is accepting public comments on the 2020-2024 Regional Workforce Plan.  The comment period is open from thru September 30, 2020.  Please submit comment(s) to prior to COB 6/30/2020.
